What Our Warranty Covers

Anything caused by how we did the install.

Water Leaks

If water sneaks past the seal we put in, we'll fix it for free. Rain, car washes, the sprinklers in your driveway. Doesn't matter.

Air Leaks & Wind Noise

Wind noise that started after we installed the glass is on us. We'll reseal it, or replace it if the seal can't hold.

Installation Defects

If the bond is bad, the glass shifts, or it rattles when you drive, that's our problem to fix.

Not Covered

What Is Not Covered

Our warranty covers our work. New damage from outside the car isn't our doing, and isn't ours to repair under warranty.

New damage from rock impacts, road debris, or flying objects

Damage from accidents, collisions, or vehicle rollovers

Vandalism, break-ins, or intentional damage

Damage from weather events (hail, falling trees, that kind of thing)

Pre-existing chips, cracks, or scratches not caused by our work

Normal wear and tear or cosmetic imperfections in the glass itself

If a rock cracks the glass or someone breaks a window, that's not a warranty job. Call us anyway. We can usually run it through your insurance and get you a new pane.

We Inspect

We get an inspection on the calendar, usually same-day or next-day. The tech comes to wherever the car is, free.

We Fix It

If it's a warranty issue, we fix it. No bill for labor, materials, or the mobile call.

Full Warranty Terms

Del Mar Auto Glass warrants that all automobile glass installations are free from defects in workmanship for as long as the original customer owns the vehicle in which the glass was installed. This covers any air or water leaks in the glass we installed as long as the vehicle is owned by the individual for whom we serviced the vehicle. Warranty does not transfer to a new owner if the car is sold. Any defects in workmanship must be reported to Del Mar Auto Glass within 30 days of discovery.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Any damage to the vehicle's paint or clear coat caused by tape adhesion.
  • The failure of power window regulators, motors, or locks resulting from pre-existing glass breakage due to vandalism prior to our service.

Del Mar Auto Glass assumes no liability for conditions outside the scope of this warranty.

What does your auto glass warranty cover?

Workmanship issues. Water leaks at the seal, wind noise from a bad bond, glass that's misaligned, rattling, or loose. If we installed it and our work is the cause, we cover the fix.

What is not covered by the warranty?

Damage from outside the car. Rocks, debris, accidents, vandalism, weather. Anything that wasn't there because of how we installed it.
